Conflict 63 象曰：'He confines himself to the support assigned to him of old:'--(thus) following those above him, he will have good fortune.
彖曰：Conflict. You are sincere and are being obstructed. A cautious halt halfway brings good fortune. Going through to the end brings misfortune. It furthers one to see the great man. It does not further one to cross the great water.

友人某來告曰：「僕向奉仕某局，黾勉職務，不獲長官之意，同僚中皆有升級，僕獨屈而不伸，不堪漸愧。因欲謀轉他官，既懇請於某長官，請筮一卦，以占成否，並卜日後氣運。」筮得訟之姤。

占得此卦，顯見氣運否窒，一時難期如願，唯宜順時安分，以俟時運。所謂「食舊德」者，明明言當仍安舊業，不必謀轉他任，堅貞固守，終必獲吉。「或從王事，無成」，或，疑詞，謂即或改謀別事，雖殷勤懇請，終難成功也。
