Decrease 92 象曰：'It will be advantageous for (the subject of) the second NINE, (undivided), to maintain his firm correctness:'--his central position gives its character to his aim.
彖曰：Decrease combined with sincerity Brings about supreme good fortune Without blame. One may be persevering in this. It furthers one to undertake something. How is this to be carried out? One may use two small bowls for the sacrifice.

明治六年(1873)，貴顯某任某縣縣令，來請占氣運，筮得損之頤。

損卦為損下而益上，二爻曰「弗損益之」，是明明言下不必損，上不必益也。

今足下出任某縣令，占得此爻，爻辭曰：「九二：利貞，征凶。弗損益之。」以九二爻位得正，宜固守成規，不必改作，自得其利。若妄自更張，竟求進步，反致凶也，故無取於損，「弗損」即為「利貞」。足下其謹遵爻辭，行之可也。
