Keeping Still, Mountain 16 象曰：'He keeps his toes at rest:'--he does not fail in what is correct (according to the idea of the figure).
彖曰：Keeping Still. Keeping his back still So that he no longer feels his body. He goes into his courtyard And does not see his people. No blame.

明治二十四年(1891)，占某大臣氣運，筮得艮之賁。

艮者兩山並峙之卦，兩山並峙，則不能前進，有止而不動之象也。

今貴下占氣運，得此初爻，「趾」足指也，凡人行動，以足在前，「艮其趾」，則足趾不動，而全體亦因之不動，即《大象》所謂「君於以思不出其位」也。

知貴下宜永守其正，保此爵位，無容再求升用，否則妄動，未免有咎矣。
