Let's do more work with section-synthesis.
Doing the same with Venus is decidedly more difficult. Venus plays in a very big arena, even in several arenas at the same time: from idealization (when in contact with the Sun and/or Mercury) to debauchery (when snared into a decidedly sexual syndrome, twisting relationships into new guises) to aesthetics and artistic expression, and more. --Venus-retrograde suggests a counterpoint that is very hard to manage; Venus in the 12th inclines to a private sense of beauty that is very difficult to fulfill.
With Venus, no matter where it is positioned, even with no reference to the 7th House, the clutch of its significance is invariably played out in relationship dynamics, one-on-one or to the world.
Example: Adolf Hitler [April 20, 1889 at 6:30 PM, LMT Braunau am Inn, Austria]had Venus in Taurus, retrograde, exactly conjunct Mars; the conjunction was in the 7th, and Mars ruled the 7th.
This powerful, frustrated (probably problematic ... the retrogradation) conjunction was squared tightly by Saturn, co-ruler of the 3rd, the mind-set; a tremendously labored and demanding consideration. --Venus ruled the 12th and the Ascendant, and the 8th.
We know of Hitler's artistic bent, eventually refused at the Art Academy, his penchant for grand architecture and sponsorship of artists; and we also know of his dramatic masochistic sexual requirements, and the fact that some four or five of his women committed suicide during their relationship with him.
Another example: the enduring, record-breaking entertainer Tina Turner (November 26, 1939 at 10:10 PM, Nutbush TN) has Venus in Sagittarius quintile Mars (this is one of FIVE quintiles, signifying the necessity for creative outlet), square her Jupiter-Neptune opposition. With Neptune oriental, this construct brings enormous aesthetics, idealism, spirituality into the mix [Turner began her development as a highly touted Church singer].
Her Venus rules the 3rd (communication; in this case, decidedly creative communication), and her 10th, her profession. Venus rules the throat, singing, etc.
A third example: Bill Clinton [August 19, 1946 at 8:51 AM, CST in Hope AR] has the charismatic Mars-Neptune contact we have studied rewardingly here recently; this conjunction rises at the Libra Ascendant. Venus is part of this complex and is final dispositor of the horoscope. --The charisma is enrmous. And within that, we know Mars and Neptune conjoin Venus, ruler of the 8th, part of the sexual profile.
Libra on the Ascendant most often puts Aquarius on the 5th.
There are definite sexual undertones of serious proportions within the charisma that leads his identity projection.
--Please do some study and some practice with Venus double rulerships and share with the Forum. That's how we continue to learn so much here!
Thank you. --Enjoy!
