在如何提問一個問題方面，兩本書都有一個共通的觀點，我以 Horsry Astrology Plain & Simple 一書的一段話來引述，這段話講得相當好：
1.Earnest questions produce straightforward charts of profound accuracy.
2.Horary works best when you need it most.
3.It is important to remember that no questions should be asked, nor any horary figure cast, Unless the mind is truly serious and quite anxious concerning the matter on which the information is sought. Otherwise, disappointment and erroneous judgement will certainly result"

只有當您最需要得知某個答案時，Horary chart 才會正確顯示您所需要的答案。若您只是好奇想問一下感情的發展，或是看許多人在問問題，偶爾湊一腳去問，這類的心態， horary chart 將不會顯示正確的答案。兩本書皆以此為「鐵律」，提供給各位參考。
