Modesty 64 象曰：'One, whose action would be in every way advantageous, stirs up his humility the more:'(but in doing so) he does not act contrary to the (proper) rule.
彖曰：Modesty creates success. The superior man carries things through.

明治二十二年(1889)，某貴顯來，請占某院氣運，筮得謙之小過。

此卦全卦中唯九三一陽為上所任，為眾所宗，有功而在下位者也。

某院眾賢所集，今以陰居陰，氣運委靡不振，有登用九三之望，故曰「無不利，撝謙。」「撝謙」者，謂虛心以求賢，進而信任之也。

後未幾，果如此占。
